1969 Yenko Camaro

1969 Yenko Camaro

The Yenko Super Camaro was a modified Chevrolet Camaro prepared by Yenko Chevrolet, under the command of Don Yenko. The originals were all first-generation Camaro. When the Camaro debuted, a General Motors corporate edict prevented from carrying an engine greater than 400 in ³ (6.6 L) V8, this put the Camaro at a serious disadvantage to the Ford Mustang, Dodge Dart and Plymouth Barracuda, since neither Ford or Plymouth / Dodge had such a limit. Don Yenko, however, knew that there was a market for an ultra powerful Camaro and found ways to circumvent the limit of GM.
