2013 Jaguar C-X16
- The C-X16 is equipped with a prototype hybrid "Puch to pass the" system that combines a new 3.0-liter engine supercharged V6 with 380 hp and 332 lb / ft of torque. This gas engine is then joined by a generator electric motor that has been integrated in an eight-speed automatic transmission. The electric motor draws power from a 1.6kWh battery pack mounted behind the seats, providing an additional 95 horsepower and 173 lb / ft of torque.
- In addition to the hybrid engine set-up, the C-X16 also has a hybrid system that draws its push set-up Formula 1 of the recovery of kinetic energy. The type system KERS on sports car can be activated with a steering wheel mounted button, offering kindness greater acceleration of the electric motor of the car. A chart on the dashboard indicates when the additional boost provided by the electric motor can be deployed.
The concept is also equipped with an intelligent Stop / Start system that reduces emissions and improves fuel economy. The system used in heavy traffic or when stopped at traffic lights and is designed to temporarily turn off the engine in just 300 milliseconds after the car stops.
All in all, the Jaguar C-X16 Concept is capable of hitting 0-62 mph in just 4.4 seconds, while top speed can reach up to 186 mph.
